From 1993 to 2000, we
published Reality, a zine by and for HIV+ youth. Building a comunity
of those living with HIV, young people came together through its pages to share
stories and information, to comfort and inspire each other.
In 1998, HIFY
published the first ever Thrive Guide, a survival manual for young
people newly diagnosed as HIV+. While the treatment information should no longer
stand on its own, much of the emotional territory it covers remains starkly relevant.
Bridges, our provider newsletter, was produced from 1995 to
2003. This newsletter blended research-based best practices with provider interviews
and highlights of the latest research. Back issues cover HIV, cutting, faith-based
sexuality education, mental health for immigrant youth, transgender and intersex
youth, positive sexuality, and youth empowerment.
Epicenter, HIFY's agency newsletter provides a look at the past of our beloved agency.
